On Sunday, August 8, 2010, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, a 25th Anniversary Corvette show will be held at the Washington Township Elementary School, 1406 Rt. 100, Barto, south of Bally, PA.  This year’s Corvettes for Kids, Inc. spokeschild is four year old, Dillon.

Dillon was born with anoxic brain injury. He and is family struggle with the heavy burden of numerous health issues.  The brain injury resulted in blindness, hearing loss, and seizures.  He is quadriplegic with high muscle tone which causes chronically dislocated hips.  Dillon is unable to swallow, requiring a special feeding tube and constant suctioning.  He requires respiratory therapy including oxygen and CPAP.  In a quest to help their son, his parents took him to China for stem cell treatment.  While very costly, it has made him more aware of his surroundings.  He is more vocal and has fewer seizures since the treatment.  What else awaits Dillon in 2010?—orthopedic leg surgery that will require him to be casted from the waist down for at least a month.  Other treatments for Dillon include:  Physical therapy, hyperbaric therapy, acupuncture and natural supplements.

Needless to say, Dillon and his family will have many medical obstacles to overcome in the future.  Thank you for joining the many generous people who support Corvettes for Kids by becoming involved in the following ways:

2.      T-Shirt Sponsor –For a $1000 donation your business advertisement will be put on the back of the special 25th anniversary Corvettes for Kids event t-shirt.  A smaller ad is available for a $500 donation.  Spots are limited, reserve early by contacting Chip Conrad, (610) 369-0724 or Dr. Ken Bingener, (610) 367-9654.

3.      Patron –A $250 donation allows you to be an underwriter to a specific area at the event (i.e.—children’s games, auction, or volunteer refreshments) in addition to a listing in the day-of-show brochure*.   Call Diane Chernaskey, (610) 367-6085.

4.   Donator – Your $100 donation will entitle you to a listing in our day-of-show brochure*.  Call Michael Black, (610) 970-8801.

5.      Support CFK, wall campaign –Your business may wish to raise money by selling $1.00 support cards to hang on a wall at your business.  Please contact Ryan or Laura Wasser, (610) 763-7051 to organize your campaign.
